Hannah Anderson Earns Preseason All-Big 12 Honors

IRVING, Texas – Ahead of the 2023 season kicking off in just eight days time, Texas Tech graduate student and 2022 All-Big 12 First Team selection Hannah Anderson was tabbed to the Preseason All-Big 12 Teams, the conference announced Wednesday.

The recognition is the second major honor for the fifth year player, as Anderson was tabbed to the United Soccer Coaches Defenders to Watch List on Tuesday.

A native of Plano, Anderson has appeared and started in 73 matches, scoring nine career goals.

Just a year ago, Anderson eclipsed 6600 career minutes played. A year ago, Anderson scored a pair of goals in her 19 starts, recording her third career multiple-goal season.

Anderson was joined on the all-conference backline by Laveni Vaka (BYU) and Olivia Hasler of TCU.

Boasting one of the most dynamic and exciting rosters in recent memory, Anderson and the Red Raiders head to Denver later this week for a scrimmage against the University of Denver on Friday afternoon (Aug. 11).

Texas Tech opens the 2023 season one week from Thursday (Aug. 17) at the University of New Mexico. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (CT).
