JoJo Robertson adds Tech alumna Anna Dong to staff
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech women’s golf head coach JoJo Robertson announced the addition of Anna Dong to her staff on Tuesday, who will serve as the team’s manager of sports operations. Dong is a Red Raider alumna, playing for Robertson’s teams over five seasons, capping her career in 2023 by earning Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors.

“We are so excited to welcome Anna back to Texas Tech and our women’s golf program,” said Robertson. “She was a very high performer on the golf course and in the classroom during her time here and she will be a great example for our student athletes. I am looking forward to working closely with her!”

Dong, originally from Guangzhou, China, spent the 2023-24 season as the assistant coach of the SMU women’s golf program. She helped power the Mustangs to an AAC Championship and a return to the NCAA postseason. SMU finished in a tie for second in the NCAA Regional round to comfortably qualify for the NCAA Championships. At the Championship at Omni La Costa, the Mustangs finished in 24th.

Dong concluded her playing career the year before with an appearance at the NCAA Championship, as the Red Raiders qualified for their third appearance to the championships since Robertson took over as head coach of the program in 2009.

As Manager of Sports Operations, Dong will assist in day-to-day practice planning and implementation. Her experience on the links as a Red Raider will also be utilized with individualized coaching for player skill development before, during, and after practice, both in-season and off-season.

The Red Raiders 2024-25 season tees off Friday, Aug. 30, at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Links.
