Make Plans to Join Us for the 9th Annual Veterans Parade of Lubbock Nov. 9, 2024 – as a Participant or Spectator

The 9th Veteran’s Day Parade to be held in Lubbock, Texas. The Veteran’s Day Parade is an event, designed to pay tribute to all veterans and all who have served in Lubbock and surrounding communities.

The 2024 theme is: “I Pledge Allegiance” – Celebrating the numerous generations and families who continue to serve our country with dignity and pride!

Participants are encouraged to pay tribute to veterans and all who have served the community. Veterans, their family members, marching bands to floats, etc. are encouraged to be included.

Route: Begins at First Baptist Church at Broadway and Avenue W, moves east on Broadway to Avenue M, then north on Ave. M to Lubbock Memorial Civic Center parking lot.

NOTE: All vehicles and motorcycles must have individual insurance.

The 2024 Grand Marshall  Retired Fire Chief ~ Shaun Fogerson served in the Marine Corps. Fogerson’s tenure at LFR started in 1992 while he was also serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1988 to 1996, having been deployed during operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Fogerson quickly rose through the ranks of LFR, being promoted to equipment operator in 1999, lieutenant in 2002, captain in 2008, battalion chief in 2012, and deputy chief in 2015. In 2019, Fogerson was appointed fire chief of LFR.

He retired on May 3, 2024, after 31 years of service to the City of Lubbock.
