LUBBOCK, Texas – The six Red Raiders on active 53-man NFL rosters went 5-1 in week six, three of which were featured as starters for their respective teams. In transaction news, Kerry Hyder Jr., who was released by the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 7, spent less than three days as a free agent as he was signed to the Houston Texans practice squad on Oct. 10 last week.

Jordyn Brooks – LB, Seattle Seahawks (2016-19)
Brooks and the Seahawks fell to the Cincinnati Bengals in a close game that finished with a score of 17-13. Brooks recorded seven tackles, four of which were solo. With the loss, the Seahawks record moves to 3-2.

Sam Eguavoen – LB, New York Jets (2011-14)
Eguavoen recorded his first tackle of the season on a Jets punt. The tackle resulted in a no-gain for the Eagles on the return. The Jets stunned the undefeated Eagles at MetLife Stadium, walking away with a 20-14 win to improve its record to 3-3 and drop the Eagles to 5-1. The Jets were previously 0-12 versus the Eagles all-time.

Patrick Mahomes II – QB, Kansas City Chiefs (2014-16)
Mahomes led the Chiefs to another win over the Broncos as he remains undefeated against Denver in his career. Mahomes completed 30-of-40 passes for 306 yards and one touchdown. The Chiefs improved to 5-1 and lead the AFC West.

Terence Steele – OL, Dallas Cowboys (2016-19)
Steele participated in 100 percent of the Cowboys’ offensive snaps en route to defeating the Chargers, 20-17. With the win, the Cowboys are 4-2 and sit one game behind the Eagles in the NFC East.

Broderick Washington Jr. – DL, Baltimore Ravens (2016-19)
Washington recorded three tackles, two of which were solo tackles and one tackle was for a loss. Washington was featured in over half of the defensive plays and 29 percent of special team plays. The Ravens beat the Titans 24-16, which puts them in a narrow lead in the AFC North, one game better than the 3-2 Steelers and Browns as they sit at 4-2.

Tyree Wilson – DE, Las Vegas Raiders (2020-22)
Wilson recorded a season-high two solo tackles in the Raiders 21-17 win over the Patriots. Wilson saw just 22 defensive snaps and contributed on three special teams snaps. The Raiders are 3-3 this season.

Sept. 5: WR Antoine Wesley was released from the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad.
Sept. 11: The New York Jets announced less than four hours prior to kickoff on Monday night that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its Monday night roster. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization.
Sept. 12: The Indianapolis Colts announced it signed OL Jack Anderson to its practice squad. Two days later it was announced he would be designated to the practice squad injured list.
Sept 16: The New York Jets announced on Saturday that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its game day roster to take on the Cowboys. It was his second elevation in as many weeks. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization. Each practice-squad player can be elevated for a maximum of three regular-season games in the same league year. After this, any subsequent elevation of the player will require the team to add him to their 53-man Active/Inactive list.
Sept 23: After being elevated from the practice squad and to the active roster each of the first two weeks of the season, the New York Jets announced on Saturday that Sam Eguavoen had been signed to the active 53-man roster in time for the Jets’ week three contest versus the New England Patriots.
Sept. 29: The Miami Dolphins announced it has placed Erik Ezukanma on the Reserve/non-football injury list.
Oct. 7: The San Francisco 49ers announced it released Kerry Hyder Jr.
Oct. 10: The Houston Texas announced it signed Kerry Hyder Jr. to its practice squad.
