• Tech failed to convert in the red zone for just the second time this season having entered Saturday ranking 14th in the FBS in red zone production. Despite missing once, the Red Raiders went 5-of-6 on its trips to the red zone and improved to 23-of-25 for the season.

• Tech extended its consecutive-game scoring streak to 296 games, which dates back to the 1997 season. Entering Saturday, the streak ranked eighth nationally, and the third-longest active streak in the Big 12 behind TCU and Oklahoma.

• Texas Tech entered the game allowing 118.6 yards per game; TCU posted 160 yards rushing in the first quarter. TCU owned 232 yards rushing at the half.

• Through six games, Texas Tech has seen five of six games have pick-6’s (three by opponent defenders, two by Tech). TCU returned an interception 29 yards in the second quarter to extend its lead to 28-7.

• Jonathan Garibay improves to 7-of-7 on field goal attempts this season – a 38-yard field goal – his longest of the season. He is one of three Big 12 place kickers with multiple attempts without a miss so far this season.

• Tech allowed an opponent to have two 100-yard rushers for the first time since Oklahoma’s Trey Sermon and Kyler Murray teamed up in 2018 to each exceed 100-yards on the ground.

• Tech allowed an opponent to have two rushed with two touchdowns apiece for the first time since Oklahoma’s Samaje Perine (4) and Joe Mixon (2) contributed multiple scores each.

• In Texas Tech’s four victories, the defense is allowing only 21.0 points, 64.2 rushing yards and 323.8 yards total offense. In Texas Tech two losses, the defense is allowing 61.0 points, 365.0 rushing yards and 568.5 yards total offense.

• TCU extends its winning streak at Jones AT&T Stadium to four games, as Tech’s last win at home against TCU came in 2013.



• SaRodorick Thompson recorded his 27th, 28th and 29th career touchdowns, and fourth, fifth and sixth scores of the 2021 season.

• SaRodorick Thompson recorded three touchdowns in a single game for the first time in his career.

• SaRodorick Thompson recorded his 10th career multi-touchdown game, and second consecutive game rushing for multiple TDs.

• SaRodorick Thompson entered the Texas Tech all-time top 10 for career rushing touchdowns, checking in at No. 8 alongside Billy Taylor (1974-77), Byron Hanspard (1994-96) and Zebbie Lethridge (1994-97) – each with 29 career scores in their respective careers.

• SaRodorick Thompson set a career-high for all-purpose yards, posting 197 yards with 118 yards rushing and 79 yard receiving (he was the second-leading receiver).

• SaRodorick Thompson recorded his first 100-yard rushing game of the season, and his fifth career. It’s first 100-yard game since Nov. 28, 2020 (vs. Oklahoma State).

• Henry Colombi set a career-high of 344 yards passing.

• With 99 yards total receiving, Kaylon Geiger was one-yard shy of reaching 100 yards for the third time in four games. He owns 399 yard receiving over the last four games after logging 11 yards over the first two games.

• T.J. Storment now owns two consecutive starts in the Texas Tech-TCU series, albeit starting for TCU in 2020 and Texas Tech in 2021.

• Colin Schooler added a TFL to his resume, moving to 55.0 career TFLs, one off from entering the all-time NCAA Top 25.
