The Buddy Holly Book Launch Event

Celebrating the new official signed, limited edition book, Buddy Holly: Words of Love, LEPAA, Genesis Publications and The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation announce an evening dedicated to the life of the legendary musician.

The world’s leading experts, archivists and special guests will be sharing their knowledge of Buddy Holly and revealing rare memorabilia. Charles Esten, star of the hit series Nashville and the London West End production of Buddy, will be performing a selection of Holly’s iconic songs. The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation will welcome a new Ambassador to the organization and, in recognition of work supporting the Foundation, the recipient will be presented with a unique guitar on stage – a replica of Buddy’s own 1943 Gibson J45.

Buddy Holly: Words of Love is the definitive record of the musician, songwriter, and rock and roll trailblazer. In partnership with María Elena Holly and The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation, this seminal volume covers Holly’s life, music and enduring legacy, offering an unseen perspective on the man behind the timeless music. A limited edition boxed set of just 559 copies, it features original cover art created specially by Ronnie Wood, a foreword by María Elena Holly, an introduction by esteemed music critic Greil Marcus, and is narrated by over 80 of the world’s most influential musicians. Each copy is signed by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. Proceeds from each book will benefit Teenage Cancer Trust and Teen Cancer America.
