Hiring Athletic Officials
We are looking to hire officials for volleyball, softball, soccer and flag football for the 2025 season! Enjoy the game in a new way and help bring fun and fair games to those coming out to play in our adult leagues. Join us for our Parks and Recreation Officials Meeting 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4 at Mae Simmons Community Center. This will be a beginning training session for all sports for the 2025 seasons. Pay ranges from $25-$9/game per sport.

Join Champion Energy and the City of Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department for a Lubbock tradition as it kicks off its 68th Annual Santa Land! The Santa Land festivities will begin Monday, December 9, and will continue through Sunday, December 22. Visitors can stop by daily from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at 600 Cesar E. Chavez Drive.
Walk through this festive holiday village with a 50-foot Christmas tree, animated displays, and pictures with Santa! This event is open to the public and admission for all ages is FREE!
