Homecoming versus Baylor reaches sellout status

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech announced Monday its Homecoming game Saturday versus Baylor has reached sellout status as Red Raider fans have purchased the entire primary ticket inventory through the athletics department.

This is the fourth advanced sellout of the season for the Red Raiders, who previously played in front of a capacity crowd Aug. 31 versus Abilene Christian and Sept. 28 against Cincinnati. Texas Tech has already announced a sellout for its Nov. 9 contest against Colorado as the Red Raiders are averaging 59,280 fans per game, which ranks second in the Big 12 Conference.

Tickets for the Baylor game can still be purchased via SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider of Texas Tech Athletics. As of Monday morning, SeatGeek still had less than 400 tickets still available on both the east and west sides of Jones AT&T Stadium.

Single-game tickets for Texas Tech’s final home game of the season Nov. 30 against West Virginia are still on sale through the Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets can be purchased at any time via TexasTech.com or by calling 806-742-TECH during normal business hours.

As a reminder, all football tickets remain 100 percent mobile only, including in premium areas. Texas Tech has introduced a new “tap and go” mobile ticketing system this season to assist fans with quick entry each gameday. Texas Tech will no longer accept screenshots of mobile tickets as QR codes have been removed from all mobile tickets. Instead, fans will place their downloaded mobile ticket near scanners that will identify each mobile ticket wirelessly.

Kickoff between the Red Raiders and Bears is slated for 3 p.m. inside Jones AT&T Stadium with coverage provided nationally on ESPN2 as well as through the Texas Tech Sports Network.
