James Paxton on Growing Up Around Malcolm McDowell
James Paxton, star of Twisters and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., joins Sean to talk about Last Train to Fortune, his new film opposite Malcolm McDowell, in theaters now. James and Malcolm have known each other since James was a kid growing up in Ojai, California, long before either one imagined sharing a screen. James talks about building trust with a screen legend on day one of filming, the role early in his career that made him more nervous than this one, and the teacher who gave him his first guitar. He also shares the story behind the two songs Dan Gilroy put in Nightcrawler after James handed him a burned CD at nineteen. Let’s take a Beyond the Mic Short Cut.
Beyond the Mic with Sean Dillon is the conversation series where actors, artists, authors, and more go deeper than a traditional interview. They go “Beyond the Mic”.
