City of Lubbock to Update Its URL on January 4
The City of Lubbock’s website address will change to www.LubbockTX.gov starting January 4, 2027. The new .gov address reinforces the City’s official online identity and helps residents recognize a trusted source for City information and services.
“Residents should feel confident that they are connecting with their city government online,” said City of Lubbock Chief Information Officer Jennifer Frescaz. “Moving to LubbockTX.gov makes our official website easier to recognize and supports our ongoing commitment for secure and reliable online services.”

- No. The ‘old’ website URL will not disappear on that date. There will be a period of overlap when both URLs will work. This also applies to city email addresses.
