Recent Rains Causing Delays in Residential Solid Waste Pick-Up, Landfill Availability

City of Lubbock Residential Solid Waste Pick-Up
We are all happy to receive the abundant rainfall, but the amount we have had recently is causing some Solid Waste service issues across the city.
Due to soggy and muddy conditions, City refuse trucks aren’t able to travel some alleys to pick up residential trash dumpsters as regularly as expected. (Pictured below.)
Due to rain saturation, the City has also had to amend operating hours at the landfills at various times.
We ask citizens to please be patient while City crews work to get trash picked up, and back on the regular schedule.
