Red Raiders fall in quarterfinals of Big 12 Championship

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma – The Red Raiders (29-21) dropped its game against No. 1 Texas (46-6) by a score of 13-4 in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship.

Tech struck first with a Riley Love RBI single in the first inning. Before Texas responded with eight unanswered runs.

The Red Raiders stormed back with a three-run third inning by way of a two-run Abbie Orrick double and a Demi Elder RBI.

The Longhorns closed out the game with five more runs as they proved why they are the top offense in the nation.

UP NEXT: Texas Tech will await its fate on Sunday as the NCAA Tournament field will be announced. The Red Raiders are 36 in the RPI and have eight quad one wins – a solid case for being called on Sunday.
