LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech had a season-high nine Red Raiders on active 53-man rosters during week 12 of the NFL season thanks to the addition of Kerry Hyder Jr. this week. The former Red Raider defensive lineman started the 2023 season with the San Francisco 49ers but was released on Oct. 7. It was short-stint before landing with a new team as he was signed to the Houston Texans practice squad on Oct. 10 and was activated to its 53-man roster on Nov. 24 prior to week 12.
Jack Anderson, OL, Indianapolis Colts (2017-20)  
Anderson saw action for the first time this season in the Colts’ 27-20 victory over the Buccaneers. Anderson played six snaps, all on special teams. The Colts’ win improves their record to 6-5.

Jordyn Brooks – LB, Seattle Seahawks (2016-19)    
Brooks and the Seahawks fell to the 49ers on Thanksgiving night, 31-13. Brooks scored the Seahawks’ lone touchdown on a 2-yard pick-six in the third quarter in a game where he also led the team in tackles with 12, seven of which were solo stops. The Seahawks record drops to 6-5, they are in second place in the NFC West.

Cody Davis – DB, New England Patriots (2009-12)     
Davis recorded his first tackle of the season on a punt that pinned the Giants on their own 24-yard line. Davis was featured on 21 total plays which accounted for 91 percent of the special teams’ snaps. The Patriots fell to the Giants, 10-7, their record stands at 2-9.

Sam Eguavoen – LB, New York Jets (2011-14)      
Eguavoen was designated to the Jets’ seven-man inactive list on game day prior to its afternoon kick-off against Miami. The Jets fell to the Dolphins, 34-13, dropping their record to 4-7.

Kerry Hyder Jr. – DL, Houston Texans (2009-13)  
Hyder recorded two tackles, both solo, one of which was a tackle for loss in his Texans debut. The Texans lost to the Jaguars 24-21 dropping their record to 6-5.

Patrick Mahomes II – QB, Kansas City Chiefs (2014-16)    
Mahomes and the Chiefs went up against a division rival in the Las Vegas Raiders on the road and won 37-14. Mahomes had one of his best games this season throwing for 298 yards and two touchdowns on 27-of-34 passing. Mahomes also rushed for nine yards on five attempts. The Chiefs record moves to 8-3 and continue to lead the AFC West.

Terence Steele – OL, Dallas Cowboys (2016-19)
Steele once again played 100 percent of the offensive snaps for the Cowboys, this time in their 45-10 Thanksgiving Day dismantling of the Washington Commanders. The Cowboys’ record improves to 8-3 and remain in second place in the NFC East behind the 10-1 Eagles.

Broderick Washington Jr. – DL, Baltimore Ravens (2016-19)    
Washington recorded one tackle, which was a sack for a loss of nine yards in a key moment for the Ravens late in the fourth quarter. The Ravens defeated the Chargers, 20-10, while their record improved to 9-3. Baltimore leads the AFC North.

Tyree Wilson – DE, Las Vegas Raiders (2020-22)    
Wilson recorded one tackle which was a stop of no gain on first-and-10 with 1:51 left in the fourth quarter. Wilson saw action on 33 snaps, 28 from defense which was 47 percent of defensive plays. The Raiders lost to the Chiefs 31-17; they are 5-7 on the season.

Sept. 11: The New York Jets announced less than four hours prior to kick-off on Monday night that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its Monday night roster. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization.
Sept. 12: The Indianapolis Colts announced it signed OL Jack Anderson to its practice squad. Two days later it was announced he would be designated to the practice squad injured list.
Sept. 16: The New York Jets announced on Saturday that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its game day roster to take on the Cowboys. It was his second elevation in as many weeks. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization. Each practice-squad player can be elevated for a maximum of three regular-season games in the same league year. After this, any subsequent elevation of the player will require the team to add him to their 53-man Active/Inactive list.
Sept. 23: After being elevated from the practice squad and to the active roster each of the first two weeks of the season, the New York Jets announced on Saturday that Sam Eguavoen had been signed to the active 53-man roster in time for the Jets’ week three contest versus the New England Patriots.

Oct. 21: The Seattle Seahawks announced it elevated SaRodorick Thompson from the practice squad and onto its gameday roster for the Seahawks Oct. 23 contest versus the Cardinals. It is the first elevation of a maximum of three elevations that organizations are permitted to make for players on practice squads during the regular season. Thompson will revert to the practice squad after the game.
