LUBBOCK, Texas – The seven Red Raiders on NFL 53-man rosters went 4-3 in week eight of the NFL season. Looking ahead to week nine, the number of active Red Raiders could rise to at least eight as Tuesday morning it was reported by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport that Jack Anderson was signed to the Colts’ active roster.

Jordyn Brooks – LB, Seattle Seahawks (2016-19) 
Brooks had 10 tackles (4 solo), one sack, one forced fumble and was credited with two quarterback hurries. Brooks and the Seahawks beat the Browns 24-20 and improved to 5-2.

Cody Davis – DB, New England Patriots (2009-12) 
Davis played on 18 snaps, all coming from special teams, those 18 snaps accounted for 85 percent of all special teams plays. The Patriots lost to the Dolphins 31-17 dropping their record to 2-6.

Sam Eguavoen – LB, New York Jets (2011-14)  
Eguavoen participated in 28 snaps in the Jets 13-10 victory over the Giants. The 28 plays accounted for 76 percent of the special teams plays. The Jets are now 4-3 this season.

Patrick Mahomes II – QB, Kansas City Chiefs (2014-16)
Mahomes had 24 completions on 38 attempts for 241 yards. The Chiefs fell to the Broncos by a score of 24-9. The Chiefs record now stands at 6-2.

Steele played in 100 percent of the offensive plays in the Cowboys’ 43-20 win against the Rams. Dallas moves to 5-2 this season.

Broderick Washington Jr. – DL, Baltimore Ravens (2016-19) 
Washington played in over 50 percent of the defensive plays for the Ravens. With his time on the field, Washington recorded one tackle. The Ravens beat the Cardinals 31-24; their record moves to 6-2.

Tyree Wilson – DE, Las Vegas Raiders (2020-22) 
In his prime-time game on Monday night Wilson was able to record three tackles, one of which was a solo stop. Wilson played in 38 defensive snaps which was just under 50 percent of the snaps played. The Raiders lost to the Lions 26-14; their record now stands at 3-5.

Sept. 5: WR Antoine Wesley was released from the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad.
Sept. 11: The New York Jets announced less than four hours prior to kick-off on Monday night that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its Monday night roster. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization.
Sept. 12: The Indianapolis Colts announced it signed OL Jack Anderson to its practice squad. Two days later it was announced he would be designated to the practice squad injured list.
Sept 16: The New York Jets announced on Saturday that LB Sam Egauvoen had been elevated from the practice squad and onto its game day roster to take on the Cowboys. It was his second elevation in as many weeks. He will return to the practice squad unless announced otherwise by the organization. Each practice-squad player can be elevated for a maximum of three regular-season games in the same league year. After this, any subsequent elevation of the player will require the team to add him to their 53-man Active/Inactive list.
Sept 23: After being elevated from the practice squad and to the active roster each of the first two weeks of the season, the New York Jets announced on Saturday that Sam Eguavoen had been signed to the active 53-man roster in time for the Jets’ week three contest versus the New England Patriots.
Sept. 29: The Miami Dolphins announced it has placed Erik Ezukanma on the Reserve/non-football injury list.
Oct. 7: The San Francisco 49ers announced it released Kerry Hyder Jr.
Oct. 10: The Houston Texas announced it signed Kerry Hyder Jr. to its practice squad.
Oct. 17: The Indianapolis Colts announced Jack Anderson, who was previously injured, was restored to the practice squad.
