Texas Tech Cross Country Announces 2023 Schedule

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech cross country team unveiled its 2023 Thursday morning.

Tech will open its season on the road traveling to Cheyenne, Wyo., for the Wyoming Open on Sept. 2 before coming back home for the Texas Tech Open on Sept. 15.

A select group of Red Raiders will go to Hobbs, N.M., for the New Mexico Junior College Invite the following week (Sept. 22) as TTU closes out the month in Columbia, Mo., running in the Gans Creek Classic (Sept. 29).

Following this three-week stretch of competition, Tech takes two weeks off and return to action in College Station for the annual Arturo Barrios Invite (Oct.13), marking the final meet of the regular season.

The 2023 Big 12 Championship will be hosted by Iowa State on Saturday, Oct. 28. Just under two weeks later (Nov. 10), Tech, for the first time in program history, will host an NCAA cross country regional as the Mountain Region schools come to Lubbock for their chance to run at the NCAA Championships being held in Charlottesville, Va. (Nov. 18).
