TALLAHASSEE, Florida – The Red Raiders (3-2) took their final game of the JoAnne Graf Classic against (RV) Charlotte (3-2) by a score of 2-1.

Ranci Willis started and pitched a great game, allowing just one run on three hits through 5.2 innings of work. Maddy Wright was credited with the win, her first as a Red Raider, after coming in a shutting down her former team for the final four outs.

Kailey Wyckoff recorded the go-ahead RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning after Logan Halleman reached on a bunt and then stole second.

Demi Elder led off the game with a double, then advanced to third on an error. The Red Raiders took advantage early as Aubrey Barnhart drove her in with a single to right field. Elder finished the day 2-2 with a double and a triple.

Alanna Barraza recorded a double as well but did not get pushed across the plate.

Riley Love recorded the first three-hit game and multi-home run game of her career against No. 4 Florida State on Saturday as she went 3-3 with two home runs and a single.
In their second game against FAMU, the Red Raiders stole five bases which is the first time they’ve done that since the 2019 season.
Abbie Orrick also got some career firsts, hitting two home runs in game one against FAMU. Both homers came in one inning and one of them was a grand slam, her first. She drove in five RBIs, also a career high.
Maddie Kuehl pitched extremely well in her two starts despite the 1-2 record. Against Florida A&M she allowed just one run on four hits while striking out three through four innings. In her second start against Charlotte, she allowed just one earned run, but the Red Raiders couldn’t back her up on offense as they only mustered one hit against the 49ers.
Against No. 4 Florida State, Arriana Villa was a home run shy of the cycle as she recorded a triple, double and then a base hit on a 3-3 day at the plate.
Ranci Willis has settled into her 2024 season nicely. After giving up two runs in the first inning she pitched, she has allowed just one run through her next 6.2 innings pitched.
