Colbert named Big 12 Athlete of the Week

IRVING, Texas – Texas Tech junior sprinter Alyssa Colbert was named the Big 12 Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Colbert earned the conference’s fist weekly honor of the indoor season thanks to her 60m times of 7.21 (prelims) and 7.19 (finals). Both times went down as personal bests as her finals time propelled her to a first-place outing,
Her time of 7.19 is currently tied for second in the country and tied for third in the world.
