ARLINGTON, Texas – Ahead of the final weekend in the month of September, REV Entertainment and the Texas Rangers have announced game times and that general admission tickets will go on sale on Friday (Sept. 29) at 10 a.m. (CT) for the 2024 Shriners Children’s College Showdown hosted by Globe Life Field and the Rangers.

Single Day general admission passes will be sold for $30/adult and $18/children, with entire tournament passes being sold for $63 for adults and $39 for children.

For the first time in 2024, REV will be offering a premium package that includes reserved tickets behind home plate, exclusive access to the Lexus Club, premium parking, food and beverage selections as well as a swag bag.

A portion of every ticket sold will benefit Shriners Children’s.

As previous announced, Texas Tech will play three games, matching up with Tennessee (Feb. 16), Nebraska (Feb. 17) and the University of Oregon (Feb. 18). The six-team event also includes Big 12 members Oklahoma and Baylor.

Also included in the announcement Thursday morning were game times, as Tech and Tennessee are set for a 7 p.m. first pitch on Friday night, with the Nebraska and Oregon matchups scheduled for a 3 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. first pitch respectively.

Former Big 12 foes Nebraska and Baylor will open the three-day event on Friday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. After Oregon and Oklahoma do battle at 3 p.m., the Red Raiders and Volunteers will provide the nightcap to the opening day of the college baseball season with a 7 p.m. matchup.

On Saturday (Feb. 17), Baylor once again has the morning honors, clashing with Oregon at 11 a.m. at Globe Life. Tech and Nebraska will meet for the first time since 2011, the final year that the Huskers were a part of the Big 12 Conference, at 3 p.m., with Oklahoma and Tennessee closing the day’s action at 7 p.m.

The third and final day of the weekend begins with Nebraska and Oklahoma doing battle at 10:30 a.m., followed by Tech/Oregon (2:30 p.m.) and Tennessee/Baylor at 6:30 p.m.

All nine games of the Shriners Children’s College Showdown will be live streamed by FloSports.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS:

Tennessee enters the 2024 season after going 44-22 overall and advancing to the programs second College World Series appearance in three seasons. The Vols ultimately went 1-2 in Omaha, falling twice to LSU (6-3/5-0).

Nebraska closed the 2023 season at 33-23-1 after falling to top-seeded Maryland in the Big 10 Conference Tournaments Semifinals.

The University of Oregon is coming off a successful 41-22 season that included a PAC-12 Tournament title and a 3-0 performance at the Nashville Regional to advance to Super Regionals. Oregon ultimately fell to Cinderella story, Oral Roberts, in a decisive third game of the aforementioned Eugene Super Regional. The appearance in the “Supers” was the second all-time appearance for the Ducks and first since the 2012 season.
