Sophomore Season kicks off on Saturday…
The Lubbock Matadors players are back in town with a core group of returning players and some new exciting players ready to take on the best in the NPSL Lone Star Conference.
West Texas finally has a West Texas Derby between Lubbock and Midland-Odessa. And it all starts on Saturday with the first-ever match between Lubbock Matadors and West Texas FC presented by Pepsi. The Lubbock Boys & Girls Club is the Community Partner of the night.
It’s going to be a Red Out. Wear your Matadors Red!
We’re handing out Red Rally Towels courtesy to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. As the Team is training hard this week to prepare for the Home Opener, the Lubbock Matadors will be all over the LBK. As you know, we love our community.

We’re huge supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of Lubbock and appreciate everything they do for our community. Our owner Hitch purchased Matadors Branded PUMA kits for the Boys & Girls Club In-House Soccer League and buys each center season seats so kids can attend Lubbock Matadors home games. Plus our players are involved with clinics and playing sports at all the centers. This Tuesday and Thursday, Matadors players will be at the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Tuesday is Media Day. Always a fun day where the players get to show their personalities, do some media interviews, and photo shoot before we officially start kicking a ball on Saturday.
On Wednesday, come Meet Lubbock Matadors players at Cardinal’s Sport Center. Get autographs, buy some cool gear and Premium Season Seat Holders can pick up your 2023 PUMA Jersey. They look great. Even better in person! Then wear your RED KIT to Saturday’s home opener as part of our Red Out.
On Thursday, join Lubbock Matadors partner Parry’s for Dine to Donate. From 5-9pm on Thursday, Parry’s will donate 20% to the Boys & Girls Club of Lubbock.
