The Buddy Holly Center and Marco’s Crew Continue Summer Showcase 2023
The Buddy Holly Center’s annual Summer Showcase Concert Series continues Thursday, August 3 with Marco’s Crew!
In 2021, Marco’s Crew emerged from the landscape of West Texas to bring an earthy Neo-Soul experience to listeners of the high plains and beyond. While each member possesses unique and adept skills in songwriting and performance, the most exciting things about Marco’s Crew’s live show are their thoughtful originals and creative reimagining of the music by some of the band’s biggest influences. Like a posse banded together for a common goal, their original music is shaped by blending the likes of great Soul, Rock and R&B artists and lo-fi production. Marco’s Crew is currently recording at Mount Vernon studios to breathe new life into their demos.
Concerts are every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Meadows Courtyard, May 18 – August 17. Tasty Tees BBQ & Moe food truck and beverage services will be on site during Showcase hours. Admission is FREE! Seating for this event is available on a first come, first serve basis. No reservations will be accommodated for this event. Outside beverages, chairs, picnic blankets, and like items will NOT be permitted inside the gates.
In addition to viewing the concerts, guests are encouraged to walk the Buddy Holly exhibitions and the Fine Arts Gallery during Summer Showcase hours with FREE admission.
