NO.23 TTU Men’s basketball is set to take on TCU on Tuesday Night

Lubbock, Texas – After splitting two tough games versus ranked opponents Kansas and Iowa State, The NO.23 ranked Red Raiders will look to face the TCU Horned Frogs in Lubbock at the Jones At&T stadium. 

 

The Red Raiders (18-7, 7-5 BIG 12) are coming off of a tough loss versus NO.6 Iowa State. After crushing NO.9 Kansas at home by nearly thirty points, the Red Raiders couldn’t pull off the comeback against Iowa State losing 74-82.

 

Coming off of a 30 point master class against Kansas, against Iowa State, forward Darrion Williams had another decent game scoring 12 well adding 11 boards. Guard Joe Toussaint found his shot and added 16 points. Forward Warren Washington did not play while still battling an ankle injury that he suffered versus Kansas. 

 

The TCU Horned Frogs (18-7, 7-5 BIG 12) are coming off back to back wins versus West Virginia and Kansas State. Guard Micah Peavy is coming off a strong performance scoring 26 points while adding 9 boards. TCU’s leading scorer, Emanuel Miller added 10 points. 

 

The Red Raiders will need a strong performance from guard Pop Issacs as he has struggled as of late shooting the ball. With forward Warren Washington being a game time decision versus TCU, the Red Raiders will look for big games from the likes of guard Darrion Williams, Chance McCmillian and Joe Toussaint.

 

Currently tied at 5th place in the Big 12 standings, both the Red Raiders and the Horned Frogs are in need of a victory to secure favorable seeding in the Big 12 and the tournament.
